Award-winning CBS newsman Bob Schieffer was honored Wednesday night with the 2012 Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.
The audience at the Ridglea Country Club enjoyed an insightful interview of Bob by his brother Tom Schieffer. The two discussed growing up in Fort Worth and how they both became big baseball fans by attending games at LaGrave Field in the late 1940s. Later, Bob shed light on behind-the-scenes moments from the just-completed presidential campaign as well as those from years past.
The crowd also applauded the 2013 graduating seniors who will head off to college next fall with a scholarship from the the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation. Each youngster won his or her scholarship in 2009 when they were eighth graders.
Also at the gala, attendees bid on exclusive items in the live and silent auctions, all to raise money for the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation. Click "Read More" for more photos.
